X-MEN: Days of Future Past. Past and the Future. Hhmmm, it seems exciting to be able to correct your past to save the future. We all love second chances right?
Revisiting my childhood, I could have played more and enjoyed more moments, ate less ice cream and chocolates.
Revisiting my young adult life, i could have been less hurried to grow up. I could have listened more and spend more time with my parents.
The list goes on and on. Fast forward to now and the future, I could always be a better version of myself by God's grace. My part? contentment, patience and cooperation.
SERENITY PRAYER
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change;
the courage to change the things I can;
and the wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardship as a pathway to peace;
Taking as Jesus did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that You will make all things right if I surrender to Your will;
So that I may be reasonably happy in this life,
and supremely happy with You forever in the next. Amen.

I also like the serenity prayer - it reflects good values we need to have if we are to a really joy-filled life here and in the here after.
